Revision Record

This record lists every change made to the book after its first publication as version 1.0. It exists for the reason given in §3.7: a revision may change the model, but it may not erase the record of what an earlier version said. Pre-publication revisions (assemblies v0.9.x) are recorded separately in the Book Edition Amendment Record.

Version numbers. A change in the third place (1.0.1, 1.0.2) corrects text without altering any claim: typographical errors, citations, dates and links. A change in the second place (1.1, 1.2) updates facts or changes the status of a claim, for example after new evidence or a recount. A change to the architecture itself, meaning its objects, mapping, propositions or boundaries, requires a new edition.

Status changes. An entry that changes a claim’s standing says so in its last column, and the change is mirrored in the Claims and Status Register. No claim’s status changes without an entry here.

Where to find the current record. The online version at https://champaignmagazine.github.io/on-gradual-agi/revision-record/ is maintained between printings. Each printing reproduces the record as of its date.
